The first step of any skin care regimen is cleansing, which can be done with any mild soap, or cleanser. Enough product should be used to remove any grime, oil, and pollutants that buildup on the skin, encouraging bacterial growth, and decay of skin cells. This does not need to be a complex ritual. Unfortunately, there are a lot of companies wanting to sell many different cleansing products for each individual. Every product claims a different method to achieve the same purpose.

This is not usually necessary. Depending upon the quality, and the skin type, a single formulation of cleansing agent is usually enough for each person. In order to keep the skin healthy and with a good appearance, it is necessary to eliminate grime, sebum, dead cells, applied make-up, and other particulate matter that may cover the skin surface after a day's exposure to the environment.
